Brand Reinvention

Under Pressure Plumbing was founded in 2001, with the intent of growing the plumbing industry through empowerment, skills development, collaboration with water technology experts, as well as forming partnerships with key industry leaders. In 2018, the name of the business changed to UPP Group (Pty) Ltd as a result of expansion and a renewed focus on becoming Water Solution Specialists. What started as mainly residential and construction-related work had evolved to the point where the company was able to offer clients far more than traditional plumbing-related services.


The main vision of the UPP Group is to revolutionise and transform the way South Africa does plumbing – from training and consulting, right through to service. We were tasked to communicate this vision, while also ‘reinventing’ a look and feel for the brand that reflected their growth and new focus areas.


We started by conceptualising, designing and developing the new-look UPP Group brand, including website, company profile and other collateral, all intended to position UPP Group as leaders in plumbing services, plumbing business management, consulting and training. There was also a need to expand the company’s digital and traditional marketing reach, so we embarked on the development of social media, digital and traditional marketing and sales-driven content, in support of UPP Group’s marketing strategy.

We continue to support the UPP team with their digital strategy execution, social media management and content generation, to help ensure consistency in their brand image, tone and messaging – and also so that they can get on with revolutionising and transforming the way South Africa does plumbing, as promised.
